[QUOTE=blackcat4866;2114854]Take a look at the black primary charge grid tensioner. It's quite common for that plastic piece to break, then the grid lays directly against the drum, making a diagonal pattern like this. In the same way, the post can break, allowing the needle electrode to lay against the grid. Sometimes you'll get a C970. The part number is: 6LK49138000 "seesaw"

Thanks for the help & picture too!

This part as pictured below, correct?

If so unfortunately no one seems to have that part in stock but basically I could also replace the entire black drum unit/cleaner unit (pictured below- part # 6LJ70686000) and it should take care of the issue, right?

I just need to make sure it will take care of the issue when I show up at the customers office as they were not very happy to replace the transfer cleaning unit and waste toner bottle and not have the issue resolved. I explained that those items needed to be replaced either way but you know how customers are! Lol

Yes, the drum will have that part.

Also try the old style part number: (looking it up now)

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Re: 4555c with quality issues

First, I want to confirm that those lines are crossfeed. If they are, what interval do they repeat (in millimeters, please).

From what you've shown me, I would suspect that the cyan developing unit is seizing up. If you try to turn the cyan developing unit you may hear the clicking of gears skipping, or it may be very difficult to turn, or you may notice one of the drive coupler prongs broken off. Usually it will be accompanied by a pile of cyan developer leaking out the back of the unit, and you'll see developer in the drive gear teeth. If that's the case it will need a cyan developing unit rebuild. Can you provide a better sample?:
