Hello,
following the installation of a new hard disk in our toshiba 2550c copier, we are unable to reinstall the internal software of the copier. I put the copier screen as an attachment when you put the usb key to install the software. It is impossible to go further. Can you please help us to reinstall this copier.

Hi,

You must format the HDD first and then install the FW. HDD must be a Toshiba Wipe HDD ADI-HDD. Perform 08-9030 after FW update is completed.

Yep, if the HDD does not have a sticker that says ADI WIPE TECHNOLOGY
it won't work.
In the "older" days they came with "just a hard drive", but once TABS started putting
wipe drives in them, you cannot revert back.
The 2550 came with wipe drives out of the box, which means you have to use a wipe drive to replace it.

Thank you for your reply. The hard drive is a secure toshiba hard drive. I formatted it. When I do "normal update" I have a message confirming that the signatures have been transferred.
What is 08-9030 and where can I find it?

08-9030 is a Setting Code that must be performed after a FW update - this code initialize the FW files. To get in 08 mode you need to turn off the machine, after FW update, and start it again by pressing and holding 0 and 8 key -> press Ok for the Service Mode password-> key in the code and then press Start and then Initialize on the screen, turn off and on again

Thanks a lot for your answers. I'm progressing in the installation...

For my copier, the keys are 4 and 9 at startup. Then code 9030.
On the other hand, it seems that some files are missing on my key...
Do you know where I can find them please?

hi I know this post is about 2 or 3 years old at this point but never the less I have F101 error on my printer.

I would like to ask for some help!! ??

i wanted to know if any one has anything that I may be able to use to get it working again, i have got in to the firmware update mode and the system is running 2194(2.3.4.3) that is the only menu I can seem to get in to that give me the option to normal update, patch update or diff update

i know F101 is a hard drive problem but not sure if or where i can get the firmware to get it up and running again any ideas?

It's pointless to try to reload firmware to a dead or dying hard drive. F101 is rarely fixed by firmware alone. Start by locating and installing a Wipe Drive. =^..^=
