    [Error Code] Toshiba estudio 2000ac Error E011

    Hi,

    First post here. Any help you could give would be most appreciated.

    I was asked to have a look at a Toshiba estudio 2000ac that was jamming paper every time you print or copy. It would display error E011.
    The paper seems to get stuck not long after coming out of the tray and gets scrunched up.

    Anyone have any clue what is causing this?

      The usual cause for E011 jams is that the primary transfer belt is not turning. Usually the waste bottle will fill to the top at the transfer waste bottle spout, backing up into the primary transfer belt cleaner. When the belt cleaner unit stalls out, and won't turn anymore, the belt will stop turning.

      The diagnostics is simple. Make a finger smudge on the primary transfer belt. Close the machine up and jam it again. Is the finger smudge still there, in exactly the same spot?

      If you're really really really lucky, changing the waste bottle could be enough. But more likely you'll have to vacuum out the primary transfer cleaner, and may find that the auger spring has been forced out the top of the unit, and dug large holes in the primary transfer belt. Waste toner may have also backed up into the yellow and magenta drum cleaners.

      Another reason that you might get E011 jams is if a large chunk of the fuser film might be missing. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Agree...check the rotation of the transfer belt. Easy way to see if it is turning is a little trick I always use.
          If I suspect something isn't turning, and there isn't a really easy way to watch it, is to take a sharpie or ink pen
          and put a dot or something on the gear, drum, roller, belt or whatever. Run the machine and then look to see
          if the mark you make on the item has moved. Just had a tech the other day call me for a jam problem and when
          I told him that, he called me back and said he found the problem quickly.
