    E-3525 out of box CA00 error

    New out of box, easy setup, after developer, starting IQC, popped CA00 error.
    Went into 08 mode, set 9022 to 99 to make it come to ready. Ran mono color
    of Y,M,C,K. Black was the issue.
    Checked connections, pulled the laser, popped the top off, didn't see anything.
    Had another 3525 setting it up, swapped the known good with the bad and the
    problem went away.

    Out of box, bad laser.
    As I tell my techs...just because it's NEW doesn't always make it better, just new.

      ... this issue aside, the e3525AC is still a very nice copier with a lot of new features.

      Toshiba is not planning on making any new hardware developments anytime soon because overall this latest generation of copiers has been exceeding expectations on almost every technical benchmark including dealer profitability and reliability.

      I do hate dealing with CA00 errors as the checklist is around 35 items long to resolve.

          We've had a few lasers get jarred in shipping ... some luckily before setup ... some on delivery. They must be more delicate.

          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Yeah, I popped the top, checked all the mirrors, motors etc...didn't find anything out of the ordinary.
              Just a bad one. It happens from time to time.

                  Boy I hope they don't! Especially to the large color/B&W.
                  That 5520 series after it became the 5540 is a great frame.
                  The 45xx series is a great box too.

                      Laser fixed it

                      Laser did fix the problem. Hope ATSG lets me know what it was...
