    EAE0 on startup

    Anyone spot this?
Last few 8518A, 6516AC machines with finishers.
Initial power on, punch in the password for the easy setup, it pops up EAE0.
Display shows "jam" around the fuser. Open/close ADU door, easy setup completes.
After finishing easy setup, upon reboot, it does it again just after ready. Open close
ADU and everything is ok. Won't do it again even if powered off/on.
Copier & finisher both at same level of firmware.

Just a glitch...never shows up again. Did a batch of 20 and 3 did it. Serials pretty close to
    the same.

    Re: EAE0 on startup

I've seen this code three times in the past, not on either of those models. Here are the details:

    eStudio 2330C, 2820C, 2830C, 3520C, 3530C, 4520C, Masherbrum
    "EAE0" error.
PQA reveals hot to neutral sags of 10vac, and ground to neutral spikes of 5.0vac. Also firmware level mismatch between converter (08-9945: CNV-014) and finisher (08-908: FIN-031).
Update firmware on converter (CNV-30), and finisher (FIN-033). Recommend installing a dedicated circuit or UPS.

    e Studio 5540CT, 6540CT, 6550CT, BPX
    "EAE0" error.
PQA reveals hot to neutral sags of 7vac, and ground to neutral spikes of 3.85vac. Power cycle MFP to restore communication with the finisher. Improving power quality did not resolve issue.
Replace LGC board (6LJ09895200) and harness from CN332 to finisher pigtail. No special installation instructions with LGC PWB.

    e Studio 5560CT, 6560CT, 6570CT, BPX MKII
    Misfeeds (EAE0) (MJ-1103).
    Finisher communication error.
Power OFF. Re-seat connector to the finisher. Power ON.

If this was on setup, maybe you've got a power issue in the office? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I thought of something like a power issue, but I had an ESP filter on it, checked the log, N-G was only .9 volts, no surge/sag.
Boy am I glad we don't have to screw around with those finisher adapter boards!

IIRC wasn't there a firmware jig of some sort to update the firmware? At that time only one guy had the jigs, and he was called to do that task. =^..^=

I think I've still got mine. It was a wiring harness. You updated the finisher with the board/chip, then, unplug the connector wire from the finisher
to the machine. Plug the wire harness adapter to the converter board and the finisher, flip a switch on the finisher and it would update.

Heck, I still have the DLM boards to update the old 350 series Toshiba machines somewhere.
