    4505ac reboots every hour.

I was fixing a scan to email issue with this customer on a remote call, when she reported that it was 10:54, and the copier was about to reboot. I looked at the log and sure enough, it shows every hour the device reboots. I found out the device is connected to a esp surge protector, and I have had issues with those in the past if there wasn't enough power to them, but the customer was reluctant to remove the surge. The device rebooted right when the customer said it would, while I was in top access. I checked the energy settings everything looked typical. I did notice a remote command app installed, but I disabled that and it still rebooted.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

... suggest to the customer to power down the copier and plug it into a different wall outlet not on the same circuit and see if the same rythmm repeats itself.

... if the customer is reluctant to remove the ESP Surge, this suggests they know they have power issues.

... the local copier service provider should reach out to ESP and ask their opinion. The ESP has a green LED to indicate if the circuit is properly grounded. It would be helpful to know if this ESP Surge is the Next Gen model or not with an LCD that displays "Under Voltage" events or "brown outs", the most common type of electrical deficenciy.

Maybe a Tripp Lite LC1800 Line Conditioner is called for here.

... for sure, this pattern is not good for the copier and sooner or later something is going to fail within it.

... I wonder if any other electronic devices in the building show this repeating pattern.

... in Top Access, I wonder if the date, time and time zone is set correctly.

... or monitor the power yourself, inline with the ESP surge. If it's hourly you should have no trouble getting multiple power samples. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Download the CSV files and look at the power on/off log.
It should always say on off on off, or on off on off on remote off
If you see instances of on on on on in a row, something is dropping
        out external to the copier.

08-8981 is more of a day of the week setting.

08-8982-0 (Hour) and 08-8983-0 (Minutes) should be set to 0.

None of the above repeats every hour.

The copier could be rebooting becuase it is trying to clear cache information stuck in RAM.

I would try updating the frmware in the copier. Be careful to pay attention to the current firmware level. The lastest is FW1900 and you may have to update in intermediate steps if the firmware on the copier is very old.

Thanks for the replys, I've been putting out fires and haven't had a chance to revisit this yet. I'll check the csv's and check the settings. I did manage to save a screenshot while I was logged in to top access, here's what the log looked like...
