Re: Estudio 5516ac rotating image through DF
I removed the DF paper tray and several spacers fell out. I couldn't tell where they came from but they were loose in there. I gently cleaned the contacts on the sensor board and tested without any issues.
Thanks for your insight.

Re: Estudio 5516ac rotating image through DF
Just out of curiosity you might examine the width detection pwb. Iirc its just a flat board with contact fingers dragging across it. The last time I had one of these apart, there were 25 extra mylar spacer washers laying on the pcb. They make great insulators. =^..^=Leave a comment:

Re: Estudio 5516ac rotating image through DF
I see this all the time on the Toshiba DSDF's. The original width guide sensor needs to be replaced. It's a narrow board under the original tray with long contact strips that the DF guides slide along.Leave a comment:

Estudio 5516ac rotating image through DF
Hey all
Customer with 5516ac complains that when running a stack of LEF letter paper through the DF it will randomly turn the image of a page and print it on legal paper. She also says when scanning a stack it will also rotate the image of a page and cut it off.
I have not seen this problem in person but when I was called out for it I cleaned sensors in DF.
I haven't tried firmware yet, my next step, but was wondering if anyone had seen these symptoms and if they were able to solve it.
Thanks
