    estudio 2500c CE40

    Have error CE40 and missing magenta color on toshiba ES2500c.

    Tried with new magenta image unit but still same.

    Is there any magenta at all getting on the belt? Did you replace the entire Magenta EPU?

    Cheat the door and pull out the Magenta cleaning wand half-way, then do a panic stop. Check if there is a line on the drum, then check if it got on the belt. If it's not getting on the belt, you may have to replace the 1st transfer bushings or the roller is getting stuck in the up position.

      yes, i replaced magenta EPU.

      When remove cleaning wand half way get magenta line on that place and have that line on belt and on paper

        put a test pattern on the glass and select color then edit or image and select single color and select magenta. See if you get any thing. If not then it could be the laser.
        And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

          checked laser shutter from diagnostic and work fine.
          magenta EPU work fine on another machine.
          checked HVPS, cables and all seems to be good.
          so laser left as last solution

            Is anyone had problem with LDC and LDR-M PWB on such machine?
            Before machine declare CE40, have been printed a couple of pages with magenta background.

              Our guys here have replaced a few laser units on this model of machine and it sounds like you are having a similar problem.
              Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
