    [Dead] Toshiba E-Studio 207

One of my technicians went to this machine earlier this morning and found the display blank but backlit and sometimes blinking. He said that when power is cycled, display is backlit but blank and none of the components seem to start their boot-up process and normal functions during warm-up cycle (fuser heating, motors turning, LSU spinning, nothing). But,
he can turn machine off, go into a maint. mode (08), and the display works perfectly with no lock-ups or lines or missing info. Seems to me as if it's just not getting through the boot-up so as to let everything continue to come to "Ready". I tried to talk him through entering the "Function Test" menu (holding down 1 and 3 and turning power on). Figured he may be able to try to perform individual tests on components and such to narrow down possible source of problem. When trying to enter the function test, the display reads "ERROR NO. = FF1". This is the only machine of this model I have in the field so I don't really have any warehouse or boneyard part to use on it. We did have some severe weather come through that area day before yesterday and I'm thinking lightning may have gotten to it. I believe it may be a Main Board that's bad but not 100% sure. Anyone ever seen this or have any suggestions? Thanks,

I appreciate the offer Paul, but I've got the manuals for this one. They just don't seem to help in this particular case.. LOL.. Thanks anyways,

Keeping in mind that there was lightning try 1+3+* and power on.
Check if You have all of voltages on the outputs of the power board as described in SH.
        Let me know the results.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

Performed 13* + power on and waited a minute. Then cycled power and all came to "Ready". Able to copy & print with no problems. All good now. Thanks for the info. Really appreciate the help.
