e-Studio 850 E-010 -Fuser not runing

Hi all,

I've collected this 850 from my client, in working condition & I only wanted to make some copies on it now (+- after a month or so) & it gives me E-010 paper jams. The fuser is not turning. I've tried to run it in test mode 03-113 with no luck.

There are no blown fuses on the power supply & no pinched harness / wires & all connectors are securely in place.

Any help will be appreciated.

Is the drive gear stripped?

I agree the drive units on the older ones were a problem and especially the little idle gear on the fuser with the one-way on it.

Hi & thanx for the reply. No the gear is not broken. I've tried to run the motor on an 810 & I blew the driver IC. OOPS-there;s that famous japanese smoke!

Will try to find another motor & try again.

Any other suggestions?

You're on the right track with the Fuser Drive Motor. If there are no stripped gears and you can't run it in test mode, it's dead.
