    Toshiba estudio 230 Seperator Fingers

Does anyone know how to reattach the seperation fingers on an estudio 230 copier?

Pull the fuser out (remove right rear cover and unplug first)
take top cover off of fuser.
Lift tip and slide into holder.
I would recommend getting the newest ones as they do not come out as often
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

All done - Piece of cake - thank you. Are the "new" ones the modification kit I've heard about? Can't seem to locate a part # though - would you know what the # is?

If you order from Toshiba then use the same part number. If not look at the curve of the finger (paper rides on) and the angle of the slots on the pivot area. These were what they changed to make them work and stay on better.

Also the little wheels (6 of them) are what actually help the fingers stay in place. With the wheel in place the fingers can't rotate back enough to pop out of the socket they sit in. I like probably every other tech usually throw them out as they slowly wear down and drop into the fuser causing jams. However if you have a problem machine you can replace the top fuser cover and the 6 wheels along with the pick offs and it will take care of a lot of issues. Especially if you have it dog earing one of the corners and can't figure it out.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.
