    [Misc] Toshiba Estudio 2500C

    Hi,

I need to know the opinion about the color copy quality of the Toshiba Estudio 2500.
I work with E-351C only at the moment.
I didn't remember the master series of Toshiba Estudio Color.

Thanks a lot in advance, any comment will be really appreciated.

The 4511 was a dusty pig of a machine and Toshiba's 1st "buisness" color. All of the mods that were made for the 4511 plus a few other upgrades were incorporated into the 451C, but it was still lacking in performance. The 2500 was a pretty good "next gen" and as long as you didn't need any thick paper jobs, and the volume was kept down it ran pretty good. A few issues with developer being sucked down that on some MFPs you could never get quite right, but CQ was acceptable. We never sold any of the successors to the 2500, but I have heard that it's a pretty good box. To keep CQ where it should be, be prepared to spend big $$ replacing the color developer every 25-30K, and 2nd transfer roller is still weak (falls apart way short of its rated life span). I would give it an 7 on a 1 to 10 scale. Emujo

Guys, I appreciate any millimeter of your expertise comment.
I'm very happy to get feed back from the masters of the field.
        It's very important for me.

Any other Color Machine recommendations? It is for Graphics art printing.
Well I like pretty much Toshiba performance, also I know some Toshiba machines, Well sincerely the 281C, 351C, 451C series only; those area for small group color performance, like small or medium office needs. Also the older monochrome ones, as the Billy the Kid of the small copiers, the Toshiba 1370; very old ones. The only way you kill one of those is in The OK Corral fight. I like those ones, I saw one 1370 given 260,000 copies flawless, only with toner and Imaging replacement.

But this is another performance field, HQ color performance.

Any comment will be really appreciate.

without going to the 6530c series (which I have not seen or worked on) I do not think any Toshiba would be a good fit for the Graphic arts type accounts. They are high demand and very picky about the output quality. I would say a canon advanced ir color series or a Konica Minolta for what they are asking.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Nice feedback, the guy asked for an opinion, I gave him mine (mine only) and no there are no color Toshibas I would give a 10 to, in fact I don't work on any MFPs that would rate a 10 for color. The Xerox techtronics would approach a 10 for me as I like the wax ink laydown. PS if you're going to be a critic, at least try to put up a quote that makes sense "Who loves roses...." WTF does that mean??? Explains why with 294 posts your rep power is a big fat ZERO!!! Emujo

Well, very precise comment and a fact, customers doesn't know that or they don't want to accept that graphics Color HQ is very costly. The want a very cheap machine, with very cheap maintenance, with very cheap consumables with a big time profit for them.

Note: And with very cheap Technician Services, without any contract.

Well really I have to put my feet on the earth, I like Xerox machines for HQ Color printing, but What about some companies who offer Wax to add into toner??
I saw one Toshiba Estudio 2500C running with Wax added to Toners, WOW, and the graphics looks very well, very close to Xerox Docucolor Printing. But as a Jr. Tech I never do anything against the manufacturer instructions or Machine specs, If you mess up, jajajaja, you have to pay for everything. And a s CT copier repair said " Prepare to spend money in Color". If we mess with color. uffff, big money.

I like work with Konica Minolta, but alwais in monochrome, those machines are very reliable, only some problems with the voltage fluctuations with failures in the fiser area. That all no more painfull problems. But I don't know how Minoltas Perform in HQ Color, Any model in specific?

I would suggest you to find a Canon CLC3200,CLC2620,CLC3220 or Konica Minolta Bizhub C353.

The Canon 3220 is better CQ than the 2500c? Not by a mile.
