All the manuals I have for EBX machines are missing the list of 03,04,05,08 codes. There is a section in the manual for each series of codes, but it only tells you how to input them, not what they are. We were sent a couple of spread sheets that tell you the equivalent codes in the new 4 digit format, but its awkward to use. I was under the impression that a f/w version was going to come out that would make the service modes into an on-screen format- similar to Samsung and Konica Minolta. But now we just heard that the latest f/w isn't going to do that. So my question is: Has anyone seen an offical published list of service codes in a manual for the EBX series? Or does anyone know if they plan to move to an on-screen style?

Re: E-Bridge X service codes
Just got back from the update course today. We got the codes for the machines. You dont need to use the 'classic' way to input codes. There is a new way being introduced. Its really good.It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.Comment

Re: E-Bridge X service codes
Yeah, with the v2000 you can access most codes via the new way apart from the 0+3 codes. The spread sheets with the equivalent codes is handy.
When updating the firmware, do option 4 first (sys). Then the rest after. That was the tip I was given and I have updated some on the course and 1 in our workshop so far with no probs. It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.Comment

Re: E-Bridge X service codes
Ver 2000 firmware is applied with Aug. production.
For earlier e2040c series copiers when updating to V2000, you must also use the new V2.10 CD with the latest Drivers.
So it will be a pain to update machines in the field atttached to multiple PCs, as you must remove all Drivers/ Addressbook Viewer/TWAIN Driver, etc before you can add new drivers.
Also note the firmware you use is different from e2040c/e2540c/e3040c and e3540c/e4540c.Comment

Re: E-Bridge X service codes
If you have the spearsheet the best way to use it is to use Excel filters. that way you can filter for the old code and it just shows you the new code. easy than scrolling through the whole sheet.
How have people got on with the new universal drivers and the plugins? We have had some issues at customers sites but now have a couple of workarounds.Comment

Re: E-Bridge X service codes
Not a lot of detail, but most of the time enough to get you to the right area. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
