    Missing Paper Size icon

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba es4520c that is missing the paper size indicator in the user functions section. I have looked through the service manual and other posts on the site and have not found the answer. I am hoping it is a simple 08 or 05 setting that I am missing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

      If you print off the 9S-106 error report do you see C130 or C140 events? Those are paper lift errors, C130 for tray #1 and C140 for tray #2. Usually it's caused by paper behind the paper tray, preventing the paper from lifting properly, but occasionally you'll see a failed lift motor assy. There is no system error reset. Just resolve the problem then power Off/On.
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Thank you for the reply. I am not having a jamming issue. Paper is feeding fine out of the trays. The issue I have is there is no icon to change the paper size in the user function menu. When I ran a factory reset and pressed the user functions button for a brief second I see the icon then it disappears.

              I just realized I listed the wrong model. It is a Toshiba es4540c. Sorry for the mistake

                  Did you print the report? C130 and C140 are not paper jams, they are paper lift errors. Model eS4540C does not change the answer. =^..^=

                      Yes I did run the s9-106 report and there were not c130 or c140 codes. The machine is running fine and the trays are all set to LT. The issue is that I can not change the paper size for trays 1&2 in the user function menu.

                      I was able go get around the issue by turning on the did you change paper size each time they open and close the paper trays. I prefer to leave it off because it avoids wrong size paper jams when users misread the message.

                          To solve the issue, u can upgrade newer firmware, or recover the Drawer icon using code 08-8712 set to "1".
