Any recommendations for a Sharp tech with 13 years experience to start working on Xerox? I've never even made a copy on one.
Start working on Xerox in a week...

If it was me I'd run. Xerox has some bad mojo.

It really depends what machines you will be working on?
If you are just working on the small to lower end stuff, your Sharp experience will get you thru most repairs.
If you are going to be working on mid-size to upper end machines, I hope you are going to work for a Xerox dealer. (or at least have a Xerox trained tech working with you)
As you will need to contact escalated tech support sooner or later, and they only talk to techs that.
A: Are certified trained on that product.
B: Work for a authorized dealer ASP.
This forum is probably one of your best bets if you don't have either of the above.
(Also you will have to get used to Xerox edoc's manual system)
Good luckComment

Luckily we believe in training, Xerox coming for 7 weeks to train us, then I'm the TTT trainer. We will be working on everything from desk tops to "graphic color". I hope the hotline is better than Sharp's.Comment
