[CQ] Xerox Color 550 repeating bands all colors

I have a Color 550 that seems to be having repeating bands in all colors. Attached are 5 solid fills (printed from diagnostics): 35% CMYK, C, M, K, Y. It is hard to see in the pictures, but the banding occurs in all colors. The spacing suggests developers, but I am hard pressed to believe all developer housings are bad, as they are around 50% of their lifespan. While the developer bias voltage could be a problem, I'm also doubtful both voltage supplies have gone bad. Any suggestions?

PS I've edited the color balance in the pictures to make the banding a bit more obvious.

Are they new part number dev housings as old style housings had this issue and were modified?

The machine is located at a customer, I'd have to check. What is an example (for one color) of the 'old' style developer housing part number?

Haven't checked part numbers but indeed solved the issue replacing all 4 developers!

Good evening. Are you using generic toner? Reason I ask is this is common with generic toner throwing off voltage and frying your developers. I would suggest if you are using Xerox OEM toner to "refresh" the developers. If using generic, replace all 4 developer housings (hopefully you saved that much in going generic) If you have never replaced the developers and are near or over 400k, dump it out and put fresh powder in there. You can use DocuColor 250 developer housings and charge. Do 1 developer refresh and if it changes the output, go from there.

Drums are now coming out modified too. Old drums had a solid foam bar and new drums (same part number) have an auger style foam bar. This stops the drum sending misting toner all over the ROS windows.

So far it seems to be working too.

Fwiw I've been using original Xerox toner. I have noticed the new style drums too. These are in use by the customer.
