    Xerox WC6605 Rear Clicking noise

Clicking noise in the left rear of the machine near the fuser drive. Actually a Dell C3760 - same box w/out the scanner. Seems like it happens when paper is about half way out of the fuser. Changed fuser and transfer belt with known good units. No joy. Danged if I can find it without digging in. Anybody have a clue? TIA.

Update: Seems like it will happen anytime. Also changed all the IUs thinking one was starting to set up. No copy quality issues.

You can run diagnostics and isolate the motor causing the issue. Most likely the fuser and transfer belt are not locking in correctly. Have had a few issues on this model. Take out the fuser and rotate the gears and install. Do the same to the Transfer Belt. When you remove the belt you must disengage the the drum and waste toners. Take out the drums and rotate. All this rotating you should find one not turning correctly hopefully. If not it will tell you which has damage if any. Sound is a horrible plastic on plastic grinding on rear lower corner.

    Hope this helps.
