    [CQ] 7970 with yellow

I got a 7970 to refurb and sell. It is a new product family for me. The prints are excellent and everything works. The issue is when you make copies.
A color doc has a solid yellow background and the b/w mode makes a grey bkgnd. I cleaned the optics and did the IIT adjustment, it passed all three steps. No change. I did it again, reset NVM for scanner and copier, still does it. I looked through the pws. When I scan to public folder it has the yellow background. Could it be the CCD? Any ideas will help...

    Thanks

is it on side 1 or 2 or both? This machine has a side 2 scan assembly so important to isolate which side it is.

write 1 and 2 on opposite sides of a piece of paper and insert into the DADF with the 1 facing up, copying this 1=CVT strip and 2=side 2 assembly

if side 2 is yellow background - Pull out the SBC drawer and reseat the Pyxis PWB attached to the back.

If it's only side 1 it could be faulty IIT PWB.

If both sides yellow background it's likely to be the SBC PWB or one of the memory modules.

      So to sum up:

      Side 1 = IIT PWB
Side 2 = Pyxis PWB (or rarely the side 2 scan assembly)
Both sides = SBC PWB or Memory DIMMs
