I have two 7970s, one is perfect and the other has issues with scans from glass and DADF (prints are great). Swapping parts between then: the CCD, the CCD cable, and the IIT pwb, I found the IIT fixed the problem. When using the searchlite on the PWS I saw there is a bulletin about 'recover high background, teal or grey on copy or scan', it refers to GSN library 14065, and GKLS archive bulletin library 1276. I can't access it, does anyone know what was posted? Any help is appreciated.
Several months ago when I first bought these I posted the problem, you graciously answered and I did check the glass for the white strip, checked using the DADF running it duplex, etc. I swapped out the CCD and both started running perfect. After a few months the problem came back. I know it doesn't make sense but that's why we're techs, right?
