    Strange Print Marks with 7845 7970 STYLE MACHINES

    I notice this issue usually after changing a transfer belt.

    The strange marks do not appear to be repeating.

      The picture isn't big enough for me to see anything but if the marks are repetitive, did you measure the distance between? And what is the measurement?

      Edit: Sorry, I misread. I thought you said the marks are repetitive. Please disregard.

              I've seen that and it's to the ITB unit. Do you change the entire unit or just the belt?

                  IMHO to change JUST the belt and not to clean the rollers is a waste of time... toner/paper dust can get under the belt and collect on the rollers causing PQ/CQ issues.
                  also I hope he cleaned/changed the cleaner assmy

                      Have you checked if metal roollers under ITB Belt are not scratched? I have seen similar problem on 71xx and found scratched roller (probably someone tried clean it but damaged it instead).
