    C9070 print quality

My I.T. guy just showed me some samples, poor print quality on a 9070
One printed on a Mac, other printed on a PC. BOTH exhibit the same issue.
Form created in illustrator. The prefilled part of the form, the letters have the
"toner blast" effect around the edges of the letters. But, the parts of the form
where they filled in the blanks, the fonts look perfect.
When the exact same form was saved as a PDF, issue is the same. I brought
the pdf into photoshop because I don't have illustrator and it looks like the form
isn't "flattened" (at least when I work on a photo in photoshop, it looks like it isn't
flattened). Now, when they print to a different machine, non xerox, EVERYTHING
    looks perfect.
Everything else on the 9070 looks ok according to the tech. This is an almost
    brand new machine too.

    Any suggestions?

Are you a Xerox company or new to them?

In case your new: Nothing is more important on these than the correct paper profile. You really shouldn't use any of the default paper types you need to create your own paper catalog for each stock the customer has. Each with their own transfer and fusing properties.

      Re: C9070 print quality

Well, the strange thing that our I.T. guy said was that it printed funny on the Xerox, but the same file, on another
brand machine, printed perfectly. I'll ask him on Wednesday if it was like this from the beginning, or, just started.

      Tnx.

P.S. Only been a xerox "dealer" for a year.

        OK, try this...

Tech went back out. I wanted him to verify the file was flattened. It was. He had the file on his thumb drive,
and put it in the usb port on the 9070. He said the print job from the usb port looked PERFECT.
I know on other manufacturers (I deal with Toshiba mostly), I've had bad memory cards cause CQ issues.
If you are more familiar with Xerox, could this be a bad memory card on the machine?
He then took the file on his thumb drive, that printed correctly from the usb port, and put it in a Mac
and printed that file on his thumb drive, from the Mac. The letters were again fuzzy.
Took the thumb drive, plugged it back into the 9070, and printed it from the 9070 usb port, and it
        looked perfect again.
