[Dead] xerox c60 cartridge error 093-935

I have received this error on my 6-month-old c60.
093-935 An invalid Cyan Toner [C] Cartridge CRUM data has been detected

I have tried 2 different chips.
My service person gave me two possible options
1 / The toner chips are faulty or more likely since it has happened with (2) cartridges......
    - 2/ The toner you have is chipped for a metered machine.

I have been using the same toner/chip vendor for years, so I think neither answer is correct, or the vendor made a mistake.

I have searched this, but I saw no answer. I am wondering if there could be some other mechanical reason for the cartridge failure.
There is toner in the dispenser shoot so that it may be the motor, and I am inclined to think it's the motor.
When I inserted the cartridge, it showed a toner level, so I think the NFC reader is ok, but then it would revert to unrecognized when a print was started.

I have ordered 2 chips and a new cartridge, but I wonder if it is just a symptom, not the real problem.
    Thanks

Your error refers SPECIFICALLY to the CRUM data being invalid. It is unlikely that a motor problem causes this. If you are using generic chips, which is sounds like you are, you may just have some bad ones. It happens. Or they may have sent you the wrong ones.

But seeing as the error is specifically referring to the CRUM data being invalid, looking for a mechanical problem as the source of the issue seems like a really odd long-shot.

As for the CRUM chips sometimes being slow to report being unrecognized, that's not unusual. That's how NFC works, it can be slow.

Thanks, I agree, and that's why I look for all options. I ordered new chips and cartridge.
The reason I worry is that the chip appears to be read quickly but flips to unrecognized, presumably when the toner needs dispensing.
I chose this printer because this system will run when you pull the cartridge. So I was able to complete the print job by tricking the system into a status it had enough toner to finish.

But your suggestion helps as well. I don't want to do anything, just waiting to test new chips that might not fix. But I also know that most problems often occur after some mechanical problem was fixed, but it could be a symptom and not the problem and reoccur.
I have been looking for a chip resetter but have not had luck finding one i can afford. I found one to reset a toner chip with an Arduino, but I need to reach the EEPROM, so I also need to find the chip data set and a service manual edoc.

Make sure you order correct chip number. You should look for SOLD (non metered) chip.

Closed but watched. I replaced the cartridge and it cleared. We resending the bad chips back to the vendor.
          That to all that assisted.

But I did learn that taking taking the faulty cartridge out, I can manually feed toner to the drum, to get a few more prints. But I would not recommend is except as a go home early fix. LOL

I remember when the AB Dick days, when ink rollers failed and for 4 hours I turned the feed rollers by hand.
