Paper fails to exit from the finisher when using the document feeder or duplexing from the glass? Was wondering what the problem could be? Any help appreciated, thank you.

IS the exit sensor sticking? These have been known to warp and will bind. IF that is the case replace it -

I don't think I explained my problem well. If the copy is made with the original placed on the glass the copy exits with no misfeed. If the copy is made with the original put through the adf the copy exits the finisher about a 1/4 of the way then stops. If duplexing is selected and performed without using the adf the same problem occurs paper stops 1/4 of way out of finisher. ThanksComment

Is the exit sensor in the copier or the finisher?
Thanks!!
Is the copy using the adf suppose to come out face down? The copys are coming out face up regardless of original placed on glass or fed through the adf.
Thanks!!Comment

inverter
On Xerox C35 when you do copy using ADF the copy output come out face down.
Manually lift the inverter gate & make a copy using the ADF.
There is no problem with any sensor, the problem is that the inverter gate is not actuated. That's why you cannot do duplex copies.
The inverter is after the fuser assy (output) not in the finisherComment

Default is Copies from glass exit the top tray. Duplex and ADF come out the 2nd tray. Is it not coming out the bottom tray of finisher? Ejector assembly problems, gummy rails, broken gear...sigpicComment
