Xerox C70 duplex jamming

30 yrs in the business, .0009 yrs servicing xerox, lol.

Customer has two C70 copiers. Both are jamming when duplexing, maybe 1 out of 10 pages. I told them to turn the paper orientation from portrait to landscape to see if it makes a difference and will call me back.

Looking to go on site for these machines, what should I be checking?

First get fault code when machine declare paper jam so you can check it in service manual.

There was such a problem three years ago with the Xerox C75.The cause turned out to be a loose belt on the duplex.Try adjusting the duplex belt.

In my experience often the inverter solenoid, but it depends on where the paper jams.

Drag in the duplex transport system can cause intermittent jams. The brass bushings and the drive shafts will need to be cleaned. Preferably, replace the brass bushings with ball bearing ones.
