Quick question - Workcentre 4150 original toner cartridge yield

We got a WorkCentre 4150 a few months back for our office. I know that usually companies don't send out full toner cartridges, but I was wondering if the yield we got for the cartridge that came with the copier is on average.

We had 7,783 sheets recorded before the copier started to warn us that the toner cartridge was empty. Brand new, they're supposed to get 20,000.

Is my 7,783 about average yield for the cartridge that comes with the machine?

Most yields are based on a 5% fill which is one paragraph double spaced.
If you are doing a lot of graphics you are going to use a lot more toner.

Well, yes, but there is still a very big difference between 20,000 and the 7,000 we did.
Thank you, but not really the response I was looking for. Looking for more like, maybe someone else who has a Workcentre 4150 that could tell me if the original cartridge that came with their copier also had a low yield. I'm just thinking that the one they sent along with it would have been only partly full...

The 4150 machine brand new comes with a starter toner cartridge. my dealership always gives a backup toner for when that starter cartrigde goes out. it will nowhere be close to a regular 20k yield toner bottle. and 7k prints +/- sounds about right. Hope this helps

hit Machine Status button then Bill. this will tell you how many copies you machine has. the machine may of had more copies on it.

Each copier / printer is shipped with a Starter Toner (Dry Ink) Cartridge with a 10,000 page yield at 5% area coverage. Actual yields will vary based on the area coverage used. The Drum Cartridge has a 55,000 page yield.
