I was told to go out to look at this Xerox 7855 (not my choice as we don't sell Xerox). I have never seen a 7855 and I don't have a manual. I was told by the customer (owner of the company) that all the drums were replaced about 8 months ago.
The streaks seem to go away (sorta) after 6 to 10 prints/copies. I looks to me like a transfer belt problem. I have included a couple of samples if what I found. The total count on the machine said 84,286; 26,886 black; 47,400 color.
I also discovered that the cyan drum seems to be stuck. All the other drums remove easily, but not the one in the cyan slot. I didn't want at this time to yank on stuff and possibly brake something without additional information about this machine. I took out and examined the fuser and both roller seem to be fine. The machine didn't seem to make any unusual noises while operating. It does have a finisher.
What could this problem with the copy quality be? Is the problem with the transfer belt not cleaning? Or is it a drum problem? Is it unusual for one of the drum units to get stuck?
Any help with this machine would be nice.
