Howdy fellows! i have a pro 65 with 750,000 clicks and a new xero module in it. It is starting to have a shadowing on the fringes of the paper and I am getting fault code 9.314.00. I am wondering if I need some new developer??? doesnt seem like this machine would need that for awhile though.... also recently I have replaced the fuser with a new one and it runs for about three days without a problem, then all of the sudden the machine says to re-seat the fuser...?? its in there really good...I think maybe the lamps are bad on it but this has happened twice in a row with two brand new fusers. I put an old fuser back in and it runs fine??

Are the fusers refurb? Do you get shadowing on prints and copies?

Mr. D, The cq issue is probably the cc with the dev hsing coming in at a close 2nd. If the defect is every other print it's the cc. Fusers are a pos. Your symptoms sound like the overtemp thermal fuse has opened on both fusers - a common problem - cheap fuses. Can also be caused by the thermistor. Should be about 17k @ room temp. In the 20's is too high - will cause a real overtemp. There is also a mechanical relay in the box where the power cord plugs in that may need attention.Comment

Replace the Dev and Dev housing for the 09-314 fault. Then check the fuser fan and filter to see if is blocked. If problem persist after changing numerous fusers replace the Flicker Pwb, it control the fuser heating. Use to change them often always use to get the message pull out push in fuser.Comment
