    Xerox Phaser 7700 polygon motor

    Hi

Is it necessary to replace the whole ROS in one of these or can you replace the polygon motor on it's own?

    Thanks

This is generally the death of the machine. You can only replace this by replacing the whole laser. I have even set these motors out to try and get fixed, but with no luck. We used to sell refurb laser, but I have since found that their polygon motors are failing to frequently, so we only sell new units, which are $895. We received a dozen 7700s the other day, and everyone of them had the Polygon motor error 11.
