    M118 intermittant E1-1000

    Hi i have an M118 machine that intermittantly jams as it passes through the fuser and just about exits the exit assembly.
    Have changed Reg clutch and fuser.
    Any tips ?

    Thanks

    1. Clean or replace 24V interlocks (Left Cover and Front Cover Interlock Switch).
    2. Verify exit fuser sensor (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/xe...tml#post190031)

      thanks for your tip, have changed fuser exit switch and does'nt seem to make a difference have tried the reg sensor as edoc says timing issue.
      Seems okay for now ?
      If returns will check out your 24v interlock tip.
      cheers

        - if is a problem with reg. clutch usually paper stop at reg. shaft (white rolls) or declare wrong paper size in tray;
        - when the fuser exit sensor is defective problems occur only at the first page in the set, after blockage is removed the rest going well (black actuator pad sticks to the sensor);
        - reg. sensor - sensor should be cleaned well;
        - 24V interlock (both) - have given different codes (E1, U4, etc)
        - reg. assy (PL 2.5 item 14) - every Pinch Bearing (PL 2.6 item 1) have four shoulders (usually broken). Replaces assy(new come with modification).

        good luck!
