I thought putting in a DVD drive might break something, but it actually worked!

Except....
After installing the first disc, the ripper said "To complete the installation remove the disc and cycle the power"
I did this. Then a blue screen on the monitor appeared with the following message:

HAL: MPS MP Structure not found
HAL: NO MPS Table Found

HAL: This HAL.DLL requires an MPS version 1.1 system
Replace HALL with the correct hal for this system
The system is halting

I didn't know what it meant, so I put the second disc in.
On the ripper, I got the message asking if I wanted to continue installation of second disc
I did it and the installation completed ending with the same "recycle power message".


However, now that blue screen appears again (the ripper just says loading....).
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I put the old hard drive in and re-installed on that.
It works fine. But when I try to print, I get this error message:Xerox WCP Filter Stopped Unexpectedly Status 2



Any pointers would be appreciated.

do you need any patches for the particular software version you installed?.Whats the message on the RIP

My Firery X12 is stuck on the "loading...." screen.I have tried holding down the fourth button to call up the menu to restore back up, but the menu will not appear. I have tried using Spinrite as detailed in this thread. In the past, that used to work. However, it's not working this time.I have read that I can solve my problem by putting a new harddrive in the Firery. I took an 80GB drive from an old PC and put it the Firery.When I did this, and held down the foruth button, the menu did appear. However, it doesn't matter which option I select, they all go to a blank screen.How can I reinstall the firery software on the new hard drive? (I have the installation discs).Incidentally, when I put the old harddrive in the firery, I can't get the menu to appear (when holding down the forth button). I'm not sure if that means anything.

Hello hard drive of my fiery xp12 is also faulty so I have purchased a new, but
I am missing installe disc. Could you send them to my email. ?

I also neeeeed fiery x12 system cd-s, so please help me as far as you can.
Or can i install windows nt 4.0 from other cd-s then somehow install fiery software.
