Hi Tinochka,
As I said before had this error: UNDI INITIALIZE Failure but can't remember how did I resolve it. But I have bought new laptop that time, so you could try with other laptop. Doesn't have to be true but you can try that option.

I tried to connect my laptop with Xerox dc555 and everything works perfect. Laptop and cables works ok. I checked them.

What is pws laptop ip address and subnet mask ?
Do you really checked the crossover cable ?

What IP on laptop should I setup?
