Everytime I turn on my Workcentre 4150 it Jams up when it prints the test print which usually prints everytime it is turned on. Even after removing the paper that is jammed and make another print it jams also. about 3 inches of the paper is out of the Fuser when it jams. Everytime it jams in the same area. I will open it up and notice that only three inches of the paper is out of the fuser. I looked but could not see anything that might be blocking the paper path. Could it be the fuser?

Its very common for the fuser exit sensor actuator to cause this problem.
Check that the fuser exit sensor actuator is not deformed/ melted, keeping it from moving freely. If it is damaged, replace it with a new style fuser exit sensor actuator part # 120N00534.
The actuator is located on the fusing unit and the sensor is located on the lower exit guide. The sensor part # is 130N01274 (alternate part #s are 130N01601 & 130N01574) -

I did check the actuator on the Fuser, doesn't seem to be broken or deformed...the spring on it seemed alright. I was thinking that if it was the actuator that was broken, would it not say paper jam everytime that I turn it on? this one only shows paper jam when I print out and when the paper is out three inches from the fuser. will go ahead and look at it again. thanksComment

Paper jamming 3 inches as its exiting the fuser is the exact symptom you would get with a faulty exit sensor actuator.Comment
