If anyone has a seen this, I could sure use your help. Xerox Phaser 7800 starts the boot process, goes from the first green screen to the one that shows the current firmware version, then says it is shutting down. It then restarts and this is all you get. I tried new firmware and a new SD Card with no success. The unit has a finisher attached and on power up, nothing happens except you hear what sounds like either the hard drive or a fan. No motors, solenoids, or other sounds. I believe the LVPS may be the culprit, but I want to know if anyone has seen this issue before. Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Phaser 7800 boot won't finish
You said you tried new software. Were you able to get it to load? What method did you use? Upgrade / AltBoot / Forced AltBoot ?
What software version is on the machine and what version did you try to install?
I experienced the same problem on this model and new software fixed it for me. -

Re: Phaser 7800 boot won't finish
to correct your fault then look for another phaser 7800 HDD disk or a copy of its image, fix it there and also do a forced upgrade.Comment

Re: Phaser 7800 boot won't finish
We installed a new drive today (new out of box, from computer store, not xerox) and tried to alt boot, it does not ever enter the alt boot and load software.Comment
