    Brother 8950 false fuser jams

Lead edge stops just before fuser exit switch. Seems like the fuser speed is slow, so the lead edge doesn't reach the exit switch in time. The image is not smeared, but the paper is buckled presumably because the paper is driven at a higher speed and the fuser is slower. Can the sleeve be slipping or the fuser be driven slower if it has a separate drive? Registration is correct and there is no smudging during transfer.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes these are known to have fuser issues. Jamming and blurry prints.

these fusers are KNOWN to have those issues... many models use this mono fuser. depending on warranty status.. you can get the fuser replaced FOC. But you have to be a certified BROTHER tech.

The fuser have a issue but before you replace fuser unit this is normally a cause for jamming also

Symptom: Paper stops in the Fuser Unit; LCD shows "Jam Inside" or "Jam Rear".

        Possible Causes:
         Sensor or Actuator
         Fuser Unit
