[CQ] Brother MFC-7840W shadow (ghost) printing

    Hi guys,

My Brother MFC-7840W prints shadows (prints the same text down the page). I have changed a drum and a toner but nothing helps. Can it be the fuser as there is a scratch on it where one of the contacts rubbing against the roller?

    Thanks

The TN360 and counterpart DR360, as with other Brother models, requires a bit of care during cleaning and refilling process. Couple of pointers:
      1. Do not resuse toner from the cartridge despite the rather large quantity found in the hopper during cleaning. It must all be removed and everything cleaned perfectly, including of course de adder roller behing the Doctor Blade.
      2. The Ceaning Bush in the image unit must also be cleaned well with vacuum cleaner to remove all traces of toner remains adhered to the special polymer hair.
      3. The best toner for the TN360 is Graphic Type.
      4. The lever reset system (Flag Gear) which requieres re-positioning with each refilling must never be fouled up or substituted with other procedures nor the optic toner detection covered to force machine use all the toner load. There are technical issues requiring a normal use of the toner cartridge particularly with regards to the resetting of electrical parameters with every new load.
The message here is CLEAN, CLEAN,CLEAN then Charge.

Did you replace it with an OEM toner or just generic toner?

You might have a problem with your fuse.
