I have been messing with this machine for about a week now. Intermittent jams... Replaced feed tires and sep assy. Tried different paper. It jams still. I attached the event log... I am my wits end... any help would be so appreciated

Re: HP LJ P3015 13.01.00 Paper late jams
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: HP LJ P3015 13.01.00 Paper late jams
I usually find its worn or poor aftermarket pickup rolls and sep pads. If you are using oem load paper and remove the back cover. Look inbthe back to where the paper lifts an check to see it is even and lifted high enough. Had bent trays before on this model too.Comment

Re: HP LJ P3015 13.01.00 Paper late jams
I had aftermarket sep pads that were slightly thicker than they should have been and the edge of the paper was getting caught on the pad... the paper wouldn't even leave the tray. But I've never had problems with aftermarket rollers.
I think this system uses a solenoid to pickup from tray 2. The pickup roller moves slower than the feed system, so if the solenoid is sticking, it could hold the paper back and you might get a paper late jam. In theory, anyway. I've had a lot of tray 1 solenoids stick on this machine, but I've never had tray 2 solenoid stick on me. Something to check out, anyway.Comment

Re: HP LJ P3015 13.01.00 Paper late jams
Is your customer using NCR paper? Usually erratic feed jams are caused by a worn out reg assembly on the 3015. There will be a slight gap between the reg roller and the pinch rollers, just enough for the paper to stop transport. Constant use of NCR paper wears them out at around 30K.Comment

I've also seen a lot of times, that rear size adjustment bar gets moved. Being a bit to far forward pushes the paper to tight against the front of the tray and paper cannot be picked.Comment
