HP DesignJet T1200 HD Multifunction plotter

Going to replace the scanner lamp Q1277-60013 in a DJ T1200 HD. Will the messages to replace lamp & filters go away automatically or do I need to manually reset maint counter, etc?

Also when scanning there is a blue background. Will new lamp and calibration solve this issue?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, the scanner will know a new lamp cartridge has been installed and reset the life counter on the lamp. The new lamp cartridge also comes with new fan filters.

The dark background is due to the old lamp not being bright enough.

After replacing the lamp, let it warm up for 1 hour, and then run the calibration process.
