Color laserjet 4700 transfer belt message

Replaced ETB transfer unit and the message keeps blinking that it needs to be replaced. I have the manual and it doesn't refer to a way to reset the parts counter. The machine was off when the unit was replaced.

How do I get the message "Replace transfer unit" to go away?

Gotta replace the ITB or modify with a fuse. I just change itb not worth the BS.

The belt assembly was replaced yet the message did not go away. It was a refurbed belt unit, may have to replace again

since you had it powered off when Installed... open front door .. power off and back on if that doesn't work follow what Wild Bill said.

I don't EVER replace CONSUMABLES/SUPPLIES using refurb parts.......EVER. I don't replace SUPPLIES, period! We work on printers, not copiers.

If you want to go cheap, reap the drawbacks.

They do make a device that will reset a belt if it was refurb. Use Google.

Ye get another one cause you purchased it right? They Should stand behind their product. I have had 2 of those Refurbs take out the DC Controller, I think they put the wrong fuse in.

I wouldn't either especially toner cartridges! but That's what my employer
provides so I'm in that position, I think there are many among us that are.
Basically I wouldn't have anything to do if they were using OEM Fusers and Toners,
So, in a way they help with job security,lol

we use the MSE brand of refurb'd toners.. very few failures ( bout the same as OEM +/- 1% ) but as far as refurb'd belts NEVER Liberty Parts does a great job with fusers .. but they don't sell refurb'd belts either.

Try without resistor or by a new resistor. Cheap stuff.
