Okay. Finally got the board and installed. As expected, same issue. I removed the motor from the service station and recorded what it does. I'm just having a hard time believing this is an electrical issue. It looks like bad motors to me. I've uploaded the video I took of the motor sitting on top of the plotter (Stuttering Motor.mp4).

I ordered a motor from eBay.

Got it off of the motor itself.

Okay. I'm convinced it's not anything to do with the service station. I installed the motor I got and it does exactly the same thing. I'm hesitant on dumping over $200 for a new EMOD (from HP) if I'm not positive that's what the problem is. I've now got two service stations and the ICB to send back for credit (minus any restocks). The plotter isn't used all that much and they've got a 5500 (or 5000 - can't remember) just down the hall.

As Kiran suggested, might want to hit that cable first. I think it's the thick one that goes from the emod to the interconnect board.

Reseat that cable first. And make sure it's not pinched at the service station end; make sure it's free to move around where it travels towards the EMOD.

                Re: Designjet 800 service station

Every time I take off an emod/power supply, I get all the covers back on and then realize I forgot to check to make sure I didn't pinch that cable. So I take the covers back off, and 25% of the time, I pinched the cable.
