HP LJ 600 M603 intermittant fusing problem

I installed a Maintenance Kit ( feed roller, transfer rollers and fuser) and now the machine will not fuse the image intermittently, like 1 out of 50. This problem was not present before I put in the Kit. Has anyone seen a new fuser perform that way or could it be something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen this many times with refurbished fusers.

It was an oem kit, I went to the account yesterday and changed the paper type to thick, ran some prints and it seems to be working. Thanks for your input!

Printer is now slower and you will get ghost print over time.
          Try with different paper.
          Clean rollers with wd-40.
Send fuser back. They can not sell you something that does not work.

Yeah, I would return that as a defective fuser.

WD-40 works great on rollers if you dont have a spare set

I had a similar issue with a 604 a couple of months ago. Image was light and text was not solid when viewing up close. Change setting to card stock and image improved. New fuser didn't help. Found that power supply was defective, not giving enough juice to the charge and transfer.

                    Clean rollers with wd-40.

If I don't have rollers, I'll ONLY ever use:

This machine is hypersensitive to power. Check to make sure it's plugged directly into the wall, no power strips. Check firmware date code (on page 1 top left block of config report) and update if prior to 2016. Replace power supply.

rubber roller rejuve is used for paper transport rollers. works great on folders. never use it on fusers, fuser rollers are impregnated with silicon oil. any other oil can and will affect that roller in the fuser

I'm assuming they meant they had cleaned the feed rollers with that. Or maybe the reg roller. Certainly not the fuser rollers. Although, it's possible he cleaned the fuser film, to get toner off it. But IMHO, none of those things should ever be cleaned. I only clean feed rollers if I'm out of them and I want to get the customer working for a few days until I can get them. Otherwise, it's replace--never clean.
