[Misc] Z3200 ps 44-in will not boot up

Current problem is this: Turn the power on and the machine starts booting like its supposed to. Once the count-up hits 17% it just sits there.

History: a month ago the belt shredded, up until then it worked without a problem. I replaced the belt and tensioner assembly. Had the customer replace "bad printheads". Started getting 86:01 codes after that. I never could get it to pass the scan axis or carriage calibrations. But it did print excellent color documents and internal images.

So a week after delivering it back to the customer it will not boot past 17%.

    any ideas?

Maybe just bootup in "Diagnostic Mode" and do an Unsecure ERASE to wipe the drive and have it reinstall firmware.

Remove the roll and all printheads and power cycle the plotter. Install the printheads when asked. Had a similar issue and this fixed it. It could be a faulty printhead.

I agree with Lance; remove the print heads, and the ink cartridges.. see if it powers up.. then install the supplies again.

If you're having 86:01 errors, check the encoder strip for damage. Clean it if you haven't already.
