Designjet Tseries, & Zseries one-way gear

So I'm going off of memory here, and I think I was working on a T610, replacing the star wheel assembly. While working on it, I found a one-way gear (it didn't come with the assembly) that was slipping. I think it went to the rod that spans across the printer and drives the star wheel gears on the right side of the printer. At the time, I just took the gear off, used some sand paper on the shaft, and it all worked. But I imagine I'll come up on a situation where that doesn't work sooner or later, and I can't find a part number for that gear.

Does ANY of what I'm saying make sense?

Q6677-60019 - Left Roll Guide, maybe?

Going off of memory, there was also a service note about the starwheel motor assembly that would fail with a 47:01. I know there was a document write-up about it......can't find it at the moment. Came across it once on a T1200.

Well that's what I'm dealing with : 47:01. I've got the starwheel motor on order, but I'm remembering a one-way-gear on the last time I dealt with that problem, and I've been unable to find any part numbers. I'll take a picture of it when I have it apart when I replace the starwheel motor.

What a lot of words to say : upgrade firmware.

I'll probably do the upgrade, but I'm still gonna replace the motor, because the problem is intermittent. But being intermittent, I'm still concerned about the one-way-gear. But my memory might be wrong, and that one-way-gear was to drive media and not for use in the right side of the starwheel operation. I'll find out at the end of this week.

You're talking about the gear on the end of the 'print zone override'? I'm pretty sure it comes with that entire bar and all the rollers it's attached to. The service manual I have has part number Q6677-60018 for the 44". The part Lance mentioned has to do with the spindle..?

I've gotten into the habit of just removing the starwheel assembly and checking underneath it for broken starwheels or other debris keeping it from lowering properly. But 47:xx usually means one of the gears have broken off the starwheel motor assembly.

ok--that would have nothing to do with the starwheel I guess.
