hi i have a printer Hp 4540 stuck on initializing what could be the probelm

Never seen that model... but usually stuck initializing is the formatter and/or something attached to it.

Use the pre-boot menu and perform a Partial Format. It saves settings. It just resets settings to default. Pretty sure it keeps IP settings. I've done it a couple of times.

how do i do the pre-boot and perform a partial format bcoz it stucks at initializing
