Someone else might have more experience with that than I do, but I would think you'd want to use glossy, or at least matte-photo paper. You get a much better image than on regular bond media. Other than that I don't think laminating it makes a difference.

Does this sound right? The best price I am able to find for 42x150 coated bond is $32/roll (4 roll minimum), best price for bond is $10/roll. Its more than 3x cost? Is that correct? Buying bulk so trying to see if there is a better deal.

No idea, I fix printers, I don't run them. But that sounds about right. Check with lexjet.com for prices. I'm sure others will have some suggestions.

Maybe try to get some samples before buying 4 rolls and then finding out it's not what you want/need.

I haven't been able to find any samples. I'm ordering 1 case before I order a pallet. I do believe glossy paper will be good print. Just not sure how it will go with laminated matte stock.

I bought this one because it was cheap. Not sure if its wrong sealant.

It is an ok sealant but doesn't add gloss to regular paper. Just leaving for anyone else who looks this up.

Plain paper will tend to bleed, so a less absorbent paper will give you the crisp image you're looking for, preferably a semi-gloss media like Kiran suggests. =^..^=

Yes, very good price. You'll pay more because it's usually a better paper stock and heavier than regular 20# plain bond. May I ask where you found it?

Finding RC resin coat will give better prints theoretically but no uv protection:

How to print labels on a different roll core? For example I have some direct thermal labels that I would like to print on using my HP DesignJet 800 that have a 1" core. I found another label stock on 2" core for Epson but it has a 5" outer diameter where I think HP 800 can only handle 3.75"?

Just put the roll in a box on a table or the floor and feed them in. It should work fine.

These printers were never designed to print labels so.. I'm not sure how you're going to tell it the page size, etc.

What about printing directly on the bag? The bags are loose but are made out of a plastic type material (poly mailer).

I found a company that sells it on 3" roll. They treat it and currently use it with water based inkjet printer. After googling I have seen something called nano water based inkjet. I don't know if thats different than what HP uses? Or if its just finer particles that offer better resolution? They offer it with perforation and white on both sides.

They are sending me samples in a few weeks so I will test. Is it possible to unwind the entire roll and feed it into HP DJ800? Forgive me as I am new to the whole wide format world. Will it lose track over time with no guides?
