HP M 281 washed out media

Have a HP M 281 with about 1000 clicks, customer said it just happened to start printing and copying very washed out anything, all colors, using oem toner.
Determined it has a bad high voltage problem. as in the 377 and 477, the high voltage in integrated into the main pwb. My suppliers tell me the board isn't available from HP?
Not available! So.. look for a good used one? Machine is about 1-2 years old! So, they want you to throw out and get new one? Just doesn't seem right.

    Any suggestions?

Since the Covid, quite often we hear about replacement parts that just are not available any more. Machines new, still not unboxed.

Have you thought about simpler possibilities like moist paper? Have you looked at the latent developed image on the belt to see if it's properly developed? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

As the transfer is also controlled by the Same pwb. So.. back to square one. No board.

Thank you blackcat, yeah covy has done much damage to most everything, in one form or another.

There is a class of printers (HP especially) that are "throw away". Often even basic consumables like fusers and transfer belts outweigh the value of the machine. Companies should know what they're selling from a service standpoint as well as $ales.

+1 especially on HP. What a bunch of retards would produce and sell those products! I mean sales not service.

I push Kyocera printers for BW, at least. Any machine that has a Maintenance Kit is going to be very serviceable.
