    Designjet Z6200 light prints

I have a Designjet Z6200 that is printing light or washed out. I printed the same document from a computer through HP click on Z5400 and a Z6200 and the Z5400 looks way closer to the image then the Z6200. While I know they wont be exact but they aren't even close. I have attached them I only got the blue side of the document because of customer info on the rest but I can post more of it later after I alter some things. The background of the whole map is lighter they the one on the Z5400.

The machine has new printheads and I have run color calibration the diagnostic image looks fine. The color settings on the machines are default I checked to make sure it isn't on ink save mode.

I am just looking for imputer before suggesting a replacement of the Spectro or main board, carriage or other items without much confidence.

    Thanks

What program are you printing from?
    What are the driver setting?
Draft mode won't be as sharp or filled in as quality mode.

Document is a PDF printed through the HP Click software with identical setting on both machines. I also change it to best mode on the HP Click software in the Z6200 with no noticable change. The Click software doesn't require a driver so no driver was used to eliminate that as a problem.

Just worked on a Z6100. Had a similar issue with the magenta/yellow printheads. The yellow looked orange instead of yellow.

        Printheads 7 & 8 should be black/cyan. Yours looks like black/orange.

Maybe something wrong with the tubes?

Safe to say you're using the same paper?

I have all the electronics boards from a Z6200, if you want to try used parts. Cheap. Printer got parted out since ink system was too expensive to fix.

Force a printhead alignment on the Z6200. Color shifts and all kinds of weirdness can be due to the alignment. Make sure you're doing it on plain bond white media.

            Kiran

PS - I wouldn't change any parts before you rule out all the consumables.

Sorry for the delay on update. I am going up tomorrow to update firmware. I will also run alignment and double check internal demo prints.

Also exact same paper on both machines.

Thanks for all the imput on ideas one of the more odd ones I have run into on the wide format machines.
