[CQ] HP M477 Can I use a Duplex fuser on a Simplex Machine

We ordered the wrong fuser and the vendor won't exchange the fuser. (I can understand this for sure) Is it possible to modify the duplex fuser and use it. Thanks for any help !!

I work on these a lot but have never done this, the duplex fuser has a couple or relatively short wires on the right-hand side compared to the others, yellow and purple these control the double-sided function and have nowhere to connect on the simplex machine, just try it with these two unconnected.

Using the duplex fuser worked just fine. I had to remove a solenoid on the rear of the fuser (yellow wire) and a sensor attached to a paper guide (Purple wire) also had to remove a paper guide cover. Thanks for the help !!!
