when i print a demo page, the yellow is at the beginning of the print very faint, and then disappears...or not at all .. there is no yellow on the color calibration printout , and when i run this process it stops when it says calibrating and says cant complete the process, and there is no yellow on the calibration print it was scanning

Your yellow print head is defective. Some nozzles are clogged. Us IPA and cloth, and pull 10x times over cloth which is soaked with IPA. If does not work, replace yellow ink. Yellow is OEM?

I would start by replacing the yellow/magenta printhead, and while you have the printhead out check that theres not a lot of yellow ink around the yellow nozzle in the carriage (could be a leak and air getting in to the printhead).
Check the date of the yellow ink cartidge so its not many years old, the yellow pigment color is the only one ive seen go bad (looks like orange porridge).

Be aware that you may have air in the ink tubes. You can examine them at the carriage where they are exposed. This is a 5500 but it's an example of air in the tubes.

You can attempt to remove the air with a syringe, however the lower ink cartridges have a valve on them that prevents you from pulling the ink from the cartridges if they're not under pressure. You can run the 'air pressure system subtest', and while the system is under pressure, try pulling ink from the lower cartridges. I don't recommend doing this because it can cause quite a mess.

Removing the air does not fix the problem causing air to get in the tubes. You're better off replacing the tube assembly. HP still has the 42", it's $1110. The 60" is $1250. LPS has them rebuilt for considerably less. Printer Parts | HP Z6200 | HP Designjet Z6200 | LPS Computer

If air is the issue, and you do nothing about the tubes, and just replace the printheads, they'll be destroyed when they run dry because of the air and you'll be back at the same point as now.

Here is another example of air in the tubes. This is more like the Z6200.
