    hp 4200

    my customer just called for 2 weeks its been intermitent machine says turn printer off and then on it is plugged into a power supply and has been for ever but i told them to try and plug into a wall outlet any thoughts could it be the formatter thanks bruce

    Most likely, there's an error code that they're not telling you about.

    Funny thing about error codes ... it will be the only thing on the screen, and the enduser says: "nope there's nothing on the screen". I guess the error has to spell recognizable words to become visible. =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
