[Misc] HP Laserjet II / Apple Laserwriter II Help

My apple laserwriter II which uses the same Canon engine as the HP Laserjet II is making me nuts.

I was DOA when I got it, now its running because I:

    I have:
    • Replaced the power supply
    • Replaced the fuser
    • Replaced the take up roller
    • Installed new toner cartridge

Unfortunately from the pic, I cannot get rid of the horizontal line that goes across each print.
The problem does not follow the toner cartridge or the fuser and adjusting the density wheel just makes the marks lighter or darker but does not eliminate them.
Whether the paper is fed from tray or single sheet it still persists.
    Anything else I can clean/adjust/replace?
    Thanks for any help!

It looks like toner worms to me. That is, there is a fiber or string or something dragging along the primary charge roller making those interesting patterns. That fiber might be in the frame or the paper path or in the AIO toner cartridge ... anywhere within reach of the primary charge roller. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes I think you are on to something there because I started getting out the can of air and blasting everything, uncovered some of the rollers in the paper path and wiped them down.
Seems to have improved greatly 80% better.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

What am I doing on New Years eve? Trying to resurrect this Laserwriter II

I have replaced the fuser, the power supply, the laser scanner.

This is what a test page is looking like.

          UGH!

          Any ideas?!?!

What I definitely see is offsetting, either drum or fusing unit.

Are you talking about the HP Laser Jet Series II or a color laser jet?

The Series II was introduced in 1987. I haven't worked on one of those since I was in Iraq in 2005. HP no longer manufactures parts for them. Any cartridges yo get now are going to be rebuilt, or most likely just reloaded with toner.
